Special Applications
Due
to the valve's disc being mounted from a shaft that runs through
the top of the valve, special adaptations can be made to the
valve to suit specific applications.
Check
Rite valves supplied through RAM Universal have been supplied
with highly accurate counter weights to allow the valve to
open and close at precise
|
pressures.Other
valves have been supplied as a commissioning valve where bursting
discs would normally be placed. These valves are fitted with
a switch or indicator to allow plant engineers to see if the
bursting disk would have blown during trial stages on new
plant. The unique thing here is that the Check Rite valve
re-seats automatically, ready for the next trial.

Manual
Overrides
Occasionally check valves need to be supplied with a manual
override facility. As with the special applications, a lever
is fitted to the valve shaft so that the valve can be overridden.
This
facility is most commonly used as a vacuum break or a manual
way of bleeding off pressure from downstream pipe work.
