Keeping process pipework clean and free from cavities and dead legs is a problem experienced by most paint and resin manufactures especially those who manufacture in batch quantities switching from one colour or recipe to another on a regular basis. Generally the problems arise when dropping product from vessels or around ring mains where standard piping protocol attracts ledges, dead legs and crevices which are almost impossible to clean with conventional techniques.

Solution

Ram Universal with the design team at VAAS came up with a simple but effective solution to eliminate many of the dead legs from the distribution pipework, with this design the ball when in the closed position is practically flush with the inner bore of the main pipe eliminating the dead leg. This design is also anti-static and firesafe to API607 5th edition.
